Hey, I’m Saksham 👋
Full Stack Engineer at CERN, Geneva. Working on open-source research data infrastructure used by researchers worldwide.
Wandering to new places is one of my favorite things, it’s the quickest (and a little bit expensive) way I know to refresh my mind, get out of my own patterns, and collect stories.
About me, I genuinely love building things. There’s a specific kind of satisfaction that comes from taking a messy problem, designing something elegant around it, and watching it actually work. Whether it’s a deployment pipeline or a silly side project I hacked together if there’s a real (or unreal) problem being solved, I’m all ears.
I’ve worked across fintech, open-source research tooling, and machine learning, the connecting thread: care about the craft, what I get to learn from it and if it’s good UX.

What I Build for Fun 🚀
Some of the things I’ve put together when I was motivated:
Handwrite – you give it a handwriting sample, it generates a font. Started as “we wonder if this is even possible” with a friend and turned into something actually usable. PyPi package
BoxIt – multiplayer dots-and-boxes game, Flutter frontend talking to a Node.js WebSocket server. Built it because we wanted to play among ourselves a game that we grew up drawing and playing on paper.
Road Fighter – a Pygame remake of the classic arcade game. Pure nostalgia-driven fun. Played a bit around with Reinforcement learning as well to run simulations and train the AI agent 🚗 to avoid collisions with other cars.
Check out what I’ve been up to on my GitHub! 👨💻
Life Beyond the Terminal 🏔️
I travel. A lot ✈️. I love mountains, I am always up for a mountain adventure.
Snowboarding 🏂 is love. First run on fresh powder, nothing else comes close.
Hiking too - the kind where your legs give out halfway up, you question your choices, and then you reach the top and immediately forget all of it.
Cold plunges - started as a dare, now it’s a ritual.
Cricket is home. Grew up watching it, playing it, debating it endlessly. Badminton is my other go-to when I need something fast and competitive.
I’ve been meaning to try mountain biking for a while now, but I haven’t had the chance to do so yet!
